Dave Chow has made a living creating art for two of Detroit’s most popular exports—cars and music. Although freelance illustration and design jobs keep him busy, Chow devotes some of his time to teaching Illustration at the College for Creative Studies (CCS), where as a student he concentrated his talents and developed skills he still uses everyday. As an independent freelancer, Chow has had the opportunity to work with a diverse client list from all across the nation. Over the past decade, he has drawn many of the vehicles produced by Ford, General Motors and DaimlerChrysler, Honda, Toyota as well as create artwork for Arby's, Bissell, BlackBerry, Budweiser, Canadian Tire, Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo, Chiquita bananas, Comerica Bank, Coors, Delta Airlines, Domino's Pizza, Humane Society, Kraft Foods, Little Caesars, LA-Z Boy furniture, Mercedes Benz, Minute Maid, OnStar, Slim Fast, the US Navy, various professional sports teams, and award winning music videos for Eminem and Obie Trice. He has also done temporary tattoo work for commercial shoots as well as designing characters for video games and laser light exhibits.
