Since earning his MFA in 1999, Matthew Raupp has gone on to co-found Defrost Design, a graphic design studio specializing in print, interactive, and motion communications. Defrost collaborated with a variety of educational and corporate clients, including Lawrence Technological University, College for Creative Studies, University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Nissan, Audi, General Motors, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, to name a few. Before co-founding Defrost, he worked full-time as a senior designer for Eastern Michigan University and was a member of the University Marketing and Student Affairs committee. Raupp has served as an adjunct in the Graphic Design Department since 1999 and welcomes his new role in 2013 as associate professor. His primary focus, as both a professional and educator, lies within interaction and time based communication systems. Raupp earned a BFA and an MFA in Graphic Design from Eastern Michigan University and is a long-time active member of the AIGA Detroit Chapter, the professional association of design. He has received numerous awards and has been published in both print and web reviews & shows.
