Mary Duncan
Mary Duncan was granted her Ph.D. in Political Theory and American Culture from Wayne State University. Her dissertation was titled "The Language of Liberation: A Semiotic Reading of Emory Douglas and the Art of the Black Panther Party." Her research interests include American culture, semiotics, ethics, and identity. As the Associate Director for Research Compliance at Wayne State University, Dr. Duncan currently is working on new projects in the ethical conduct of human subject research. She has taught liberal arts classes at the CCS for 12 years.
