Christine McCauley

Chris McCauley is a fine artist whose paintings focus on portraits and landscapes.

After completing her undergraduate studies, she entered the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned her Post Baccalaureate Studio Certificate.  She went on to earn an MFA in painting from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1998.  Since then, she has taught painting and cultural theory at CCS and Madonna University.  She was featured in a show of notable emerging artists in the Detroit area, and recently had work on exhibit at the Brad Cooper Gallery in Tampa, Florida.  In 2003, McCauley was awarded the Michigan Council for Cultural Affairs Creative Artist’s Grant.  She also was a visiting artist to the Washington Street Gallery in Ann Arbor, where she participated in numerous exhibitions.
