Bonnie Detloff Zielinski
As a professional graphic designer and educator, Zielinski's goals are to work with students to help them form a personal process that enables them to inevitably work towards professional practice to successfully solve their clients communication needs. To help the student designer uncover a way of working that finds their way through a solution. Zielinski's goals are to present to students resources available for personal discovery. To read, write, draw, dialogue, create. To help in the students awareness of traditional tools and learning new media (in constant upgrade) that is available for image making. The path is complex.
Zielinski has more than 20 years of experience in Graphic Design. She has created brand identity and marketing communication solutions for educational, healthcare, publishing, automotive and numerous other clients.
Prior to establishing Identicomm, L.L.C., Zielinski was an associate and manager, graphic design at Ford & Earl Associates. Responsible for design direction and project management on a variety of brand identity, marketing communication, signage and way-finding campaigns. Zielinski also held the position as art director in the Public Relations and Marketing Department of Cranbrook Educational Community.
In addition to CCS, Zielinski has taught at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Lawrence Technological University and Oakland University. She has received numerous design achievement awards including American Institute of Graphics Art (AIGA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Women in Communications, Inc.
