Modification of materials and manufacturing processes to achieve unique product functionalities and experiences
Mark Schuchardt has been involved in manufacturing, materials and design for nearly 40 years. Beginning as an engineering intern he spent eight years in an industrial engineering role doing machine design, human factors engineering and plant layout for the Georgia-Pacific Corp. Since receiving his BS in industrial design, he has spent over 31 years as a materials and design consultant for the DuPont Company. As a consultant, he works with engineers and designers at the earliest stages of product development to help identify and more fully utilize appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to create unique products. Through the years Schuchardt has worked with a diverse set of clients including the automotive OEMs and 1st tier suppliers as well as companies like Samsung, Knoll Inc., Disney and Skechers.
