Jennifer Bostek Salazar
After receiving her BFA from the University of Michigan, Jennifer Bostek Salazar worked in communication design at Biomedical Communications, the design studio of the University of Michigan Medical Center and Leo J Brennen Marketing. She completed her MA in sculpture at Wayne State and spent the following three years as a glazer and gallery assistant at Pewabic Pottery.
Bostek Salazar has shown her paintings and sculpture in both group and solo shows in Michigan, Indiana, Maryland, Washington .D.C. and New York. She works in wood, oil and egg tempera with subjects from the natural world using zuihitsu, the technique of following the brush. Bostek Salazar has been teaching Color and Design at CCS since 1996. She joined the Foundation faculty in 2000 and the Graduate Studies faculty in 2014.
