Marie Buck is a scholar, poet and longtime instructor of literature and writing. She is the author of a collection of poetry, Life & Style (Patrick Lovelace Editions, 2009), and several chapbooks. Other creative work has been anthologized in Against Expression: An Anthology of Conceptual Writing and translated into Italian for the magazine Abbiamo Le Prove. Buck’s scholarly research focuses on the literature of social movements. Her current project is a dissertation, “Graphic Bodies: Texts of Black Power and Women’s Liberation, 1967-1978.” Over the last ten years, she has taught numerous courses in college writing, world literature, African American literature, and gender, sexuality and the arts.
