Al Malouin

During a successful 35-year career as an advertising writer and Creative Director, Al Malouin has worked at various local and international advertising agencies. He has won numerous advertising awards for a wide range of clients including Chevrolet, Buick, Goodyear, Borden Foods, Health Alliance Plan, and Hatteras Yachts. He has also worked as a speech writer for a Vice President of General Motors Corporation, and as an editor on several regional newsletters.

Currently a freelance advertising and editorial writer who is also pursuing several book and screen-writing projects, Malouin brings an incredible amount of writing experience -- as well as humor -- to the copywriting students with whom he works.

His teaching keys on both the creativity and the mechanics of writing. An avid film-goer who leads a monthly discussion group and sees more than 200 films a year, Malouin also brings a vast wealth of storytelling, character development, and dialogue techniques into the classroom.
