Bookstore Assistant Part-Time

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for assisting the store manager and assistant managers at both Campus Bookstores, as well as support a close working relationship with all campus constituencies to insure quality service to students, faculty and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cash register operation;
  • Greet and assist customers;
  • Stocking, pricing, and maintaining store appearance;
  • Assist with visual merchandising and store displays;
  • Assist in processing and shipping online orders;
  • Perform additional duties as required.

 

Job Requirements:

  • An associate degree in business related field;
  • One to two years retail experience required;
  • Excellent customer relation, organization and communication skills;
  • Ability to work with a diverse student and campus environment;
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes, climb ladders and perform other labor tasks;
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required;
  • Proficient computer skills to include: Excel, Microsoft Word, E-Mail;
  • Accounting experience desirable;
  • Proficiency with Photoshop and web design skills highly desirable;
  • Reliable, dependable and punctual;
