Illustration Full-Time Faculty
Positions Summary:
The College for Creative Studies (CCS) invites applications for the position of Illustration full-time faculty. This position reports to the Chair of the Illustration Department and is responsible for leading and developing the entertainment illustration curriculum within the Department. A “three/three” teaching load is required.
Subject to final budgetary approval, this position will be filled by the start of the 2013/2014 academic year. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Job Requirements:
Applicants must be active, practicing artists with a very strong exhibiting record, or have sufficient relevant professional work within the field of entertainment illustration. The preferred candidate will be well versed in the techniques, processes, and contemporary trends specific to the entertainment illustration discipline. The chosen candidate will lead and consult with the Department Chair in the implementation and instruction to students and faculty in proper use of critical software commonly used in entertainment illustration. The incumbent will also directly support the entertainment track with specific methods of drawing, painting, compositional blocking, and any other essential concepts in perspective. Candidates must have an MFA or MA in Illustration with a minimum of five years teaching experience in an accredited university or college of art and design or equivalent working experience in the field of entertainment illustration.
