Artists are needed to teach daytime youth courses at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit. Short term, with potential to extend. Responsibilities include: developing project plans that meet established learning outcomes, leading group work and individual project oversight, lead critiques and one-on-one feedback to individual students. Teaching and working with students ages 6-9 and 10-12. Positions available in the following disciplines:
College degree in related art or design field, professional art and/or design experience and experience working with or teaching youth between the ages of 6-18. Strong organizational skills and willingness to work on a team and independently are key. Must be able to communicate well and work effectively with students, parents and colleagues. Day time hours; Monday-Friday, short-term. Instructor will collaborate with other instructors on curriculum ideas and implementation. Background check required.
