Precollege & Continuing Studies: Precollege – ZBrush / Maya Instructor
Job Description:
Artists are needed to teach daytime courses for middle and high school students at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit. Responsibilities include: developing project outlines to meet curriculum objectives, oversee individual student projects to ensure adherence to timelines, train participants in the safe and efficient use of shop equipment and tools, lead critiques, provide one-on-one feedback to each student, teach and work with students ages 13-19. Positions available in the following disciplines:
3D Character Modeling in ZBrush or Maya
Job Requirements:
College degree in related art or design field, professional art and/or design experience and experience working with or teaching youth between the ages of 13-19. Strong organizational skills and willingness to work on a team and independently are key. Must be able to communicate well and work effectively with students, parents and colleagues. Day time hours plus some evening hours required; Monday-Friday, short-term with potential to extend. Instructor will collaborate with other instructors on curriculum ideas and implementation. Background check required.
