Art Education Full Time Faculty Position

Job Description:
The College for Creative Studies (CCS) invites applications for a full time faculty position in Art Education. Responsibilities include teaching introductory education courses, art education methods courses, reading across the curriculum, student mentoring, supervising art student teachers, interpreting and meeting State of Michigan teacher certification standards and protocols, program evaluation, resource development, serve on College and department committees, and community outreach.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a strong record of accomplishment as an art educator including a minimum of three years (or equivalent) K-12 art teaching and higher education teacher preparation experience, knowledge of contemporary theories in art education, as well as expertise in educational foundations courses.
Qualifications include a Ph.D in Art Education or Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field. ABD within 2 years of completion or M.ed plus 30 considered.
