The Toyota Lecture Series
The Toyota Lecture Series in Design was established through a generous $1 million endowment gift to the College for Creative Studies from Toyota Motor Company. The endowment is used to bring prominent designers and scholars in all fields of design to speak at CCS. Previous speakers include Hideichi Misono, Alexander Gelman, Daniel Pink and Syd Mead. The lectures are free and open to the public.

Wahei Hirai, Managing Officer, Design Group, Toyota Motor Corporation and Kevin Hunter, President of Calty Design Research, Inc. gave a rare, joint, public presentation as part the College’s endowed lecture series sponsored by Toyota Motor Corporation.
The College for Creative Studies in partnership with Clear Magazine will host a Toyota Lecture on Design by renowned designer Karim Rashid on Friday, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m.
The College for Creative Studies Graphic Design Department in partnership with AIGA Detroit presents a lecture by the design firm Lust as part of the Toyota Lecture on Design series.
