We've compiled a quick guideline to help you navigate your way through the admissions process. It's different for everyone, but this will help ensure that you don't miss anything.

Application Process

  1. Tour Campus (Optional) - Learn more now

  2. Meet with an admissions counselor to discuss any questions you might have and to start preparing your portfolio. (optional)

  3. Apply

  4. Submit your official high school transcripts or official GED results

  5. If you are dual-enrolled or transferring, submit your official college transcripts.

  6. Submit your ACT or SAT score if you’re in high school. (our ACT code is 1989 and our SAT code is 1035).

  7. Submit a 5-8 piece portfolio via ccs.slideroom.com

  8. International Students ONLY: Submit a TOEFL score.

  9. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid by March 1 to maximize your financial aid. (Optional but recommended)

  10. Wait for an admission decision by mail.

Once Accepted

  1. Review your Financial Aid Notification letter from CCS carefully, plug your figures into the Financial Aid Workbook (521 KB, PDF) sent to all applicants and sign and return one copy of the letter to the Financial Aid Office. (U.S. citizen or permanent resident). Please check back in early 2013 for the 2013-2014 academic year Financial Aid Workbook.

  2. If you accept the Stafford loans included on your Financial Aid Notification letter, complete the Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note and loan entrance counseling (instructions will be included with your letter). (U.S. citizen or permanent resident)

  3. Submit your commitment fee of $100 by credit card over the phone or by check to:

  4. If you plan to live on campus, apply for student housing online.

  5. If living on campus, make your $350 first payment and your $200 housing deposit to the Business Office or the Office of Admissions with your commitment fee, either in person, via phone or mail. (You will not be considered for a housing spot until these payments are made.)

  6. If living on campus, complete the health history information form so that we have your information on record in the event of an emergency.

  7. After you graduate from high school or finish your semester at college, send the following to the Academic Advising and Registration Office:

    __   Official final transcript from high school if it was not submitted prior to the admissions decision. (It should show your date of graduation. This is mandatory and should be done as soon as possible.)

    __   Official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended so proper credit can be applied

    __   All Advanced Placement (AP) test scores

    __   International Baccalaureate (IB) scores

    Official Transcripts and AP test scores should be sent to the following address:

  8. Once you receive your username/password (in the mail) you will be expected to log into your CCS email where you will also receive instructions on how to schedule the required English Placement Excercise (EPE), how to complete the online New Student Check-In process and information on how to register.

  9. Attend New Student Orientation

  10. If living on campus, move into student housing on Sunday, August 28 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
