We've created a quick guideline to help you navigate your way through the admissions process. It's different for everyone, but this will help make sure you don't miss anything.

General Timeline For High School Applicants

SEPTEMBER 1 - FEBRUARY 1:

  • Apply for admission to CCS here
    admissions requirements
  • Pay your deposit
    Your $100 Commitment Fee is due within two weeks of receipt of your acceptance letter or by May 1, whichever is later.

 

DECEMBER 1:
Early Action Deadline
For applicants who want to be considered for our highest (up to full-tuition) scholarships and early registration.

DECEMBER 15:
Scholarship awards are announced - watch your mailbox.

FEBRUARY 1:
Priority Deadline
For applicants who wants to be considered for scholarship and priority registration.

If you are participating on a FIRST Team and applying for a FIRST Scholarship at CCS, you must be accepted by February 1st to be eligible for this award.

JANUARY 1 - MARCH 1:
File the FAFSA online. The financial aid process takes approximately four to six weeks to complete.

APRIL–JULY:
Admitted students:
Request the following be sent to CCS Academic Advising and Registration office

  • Official Transcripts
  • Advanced Placement (AP) test scores
  • Dual Enrollment transcripts from credit-granting institution (if applicable)

Complete new student check-in
Go online with information sent to you with your course schedule and check-in via Blackboard 

MAY 1:
Deposit Deadline
Call to pay your $100 Commitment Fee (Admissions 313.664.7425)

MAY-JUNE:
Apply for CCS housing and pay housing deposit and first housing payment over the phone with a credit card by calling the admissions office or business office. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis when housing application and payments have been received.

JUNE-JULY:
Schedule your English Placement Exercise (if applicable).
You do not have to take the English Placement Exercise if you took the ACT or SAT English exam.

JULY-AUGUST:
Attend EPE - English Placement Exam 

Late AUGUST:
Mandatory Orientation
Family Orientation
New student move-in
Welcome Week activities
Transfer Student Orientation

Early SEPTEMBER:
Classes begin
