Parking and check-in will be on our Ford Campus.
When you arrive on the Ford Campus, please go to the Walter B. Ford II building and we will get you started from there. All family members are welcome!
|President's Welcome||Join us as CCS's president, Rick Rogers, greets guests and introduces the College.||9:00 AM|
|Admissions Presentation||Get an overview of the college, our majors and admissions requirements led by the CCS Admissions Director.||9:15 am & 12:30 pm, lasting about 45 minutes|
|Careers in Art & Design Presentation||Learn about career opportunities in art and design, internships, companies that recruit our students, and how our Career Services Office assists students.||10:30 am & 12:00 pm, lasting about 15-20 minutes|
|Financing Your Education Presentation||Staff from our Financial Aid Office will discuss the cost of attendance, scholarships and other sources of financial assistance, and how to calculate your out-of-pocket costs.||11:00 am & 1:30 pm, lasting about ½ hour|
|Precollege and Continuing Studies Presentation||There are many ways that CCS can help you get ready for the demands of applying to a college of art and design. We offer individual evening or weekend courses throughout the year. Each summer we offer an outstanding Summer Experience where you can earn college credit, live on campus, create work in an elective major, and refine your portfolio presentation.||11:30 am, lasting about 15-20 minutes (one presentation only)|
|Portfolio Reviews, Transfer Credit Placement and Admissions Processing||Ask admissions questions. Receive feedback on your portfolio. Bring college transcripts for credit review and placement.Finish up the admissions process.||Ongoing|
|Student Led Housing Tours||Check out the apartment-style dorm rooms of the Art Centre Building on the Ford Campus and the loft-style dorm rooms of the Taubman Center.||Ongoing|
|Student Led Campus Tours||Learn the locations of our majors on the Ford Campus and the Taubman Center, while receiving a general overview of our facilities led by student and staff tour guides.||Ongoing|
|In-Depth Departmental Sessions||Meet with faculty members in any major. Our 12 academic programs include Advertising: Copywriting, Advertising: Design, Art Education, Crafts, Entertainment Arts, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design, Photography, Product Design and Transportation Design.||Ongoing|
Graduate Information Session Agenda (for 11/22/14 and 2/28/15)
10:00 - 10:30 a.m. - CHECK IN
Meet CCS staff, receive an agenda and have some coffee.
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - PRESENTATION/CAMPUS TOUR
Admissions overview presentation: the Director of Graduate Admissions gives a presentation on the admissions process and scholarships and financial aid for graduate students. Followed by a Q&A and tour of the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education facilities, academic departments and other resources available to graduate students.
11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - MFA PROGRAM BREAKOUT SESSIONS
The group will split into their respective areas of interest and be joined by Graduate Department leadership for an in-depth talk about the programs and a look at current and past student work.

Prospective students are welcome to schedule campus and housing tours with a student ambassador and/or a counseling appointment with an Admissions counselor, Monday – Friday, at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.
