The Creative Outlet - June 2009

The winter semester has ended and a sense of quiet has descended upon the CCS campus as students have departed. We’ve entered into the not-so lazy days of summer, and another edition of The Creative Outlet has arrived!

Alumni scholarship competition recognizes talent of six CCS students

Six talented CCS students received this year's alumni scholarship awards. A committee of CCS alumni gathered and reviewed dozens of applications submitted for this prestigious award, which is based on merit.

Passings

The College is saddened to announce the loss of alumna Barbara Frey (DA-06), who passed away unexpectedly in March. Former chair for the Department of Animation and Digital Media at CCS, Bob Andersen, remembers Barbara as "very hardworking and talented...she made some extraordinary video pieces and animation."

Career Services

The Office of Career Services is dedicated to exposing alumni to professional development opportunities and resources that will aid them in identifying and obtaining their personal career goals. CCS Class Rings

Class rings are now available through the Office of Student Life. The rings come in three styles: a signet ring with the College seal, a concave band or a convex band. The band-style rings feature "The College for Creative Studies" in scripted print or the letters "CCS" in a more contemporary style. The cost of the rings range from $299 to $599, depending on style and type of metal you select.
