Photo project captures the spirit of prominent Detroiters
Les Ward (PH '71) has spent the last 20 years working as a photographer in metro Detroit, servicing a number of automotive and advertising agency clients. For the past year, Les has been working on a project that combines his passion for photography with his love for the city of Detroit. "My Town Miracles" is a series of portraits of Detroit civic leaders who Les considers at the forefront of Detroit's revitalization. His series of more than 20 paintings was on display in the concourse of Cobo Hall during the recent North American International Auto Show. Les is hoping to add to his portrait collection of Detroit "movers-and-shakers" to produce a book that will showcase the people working diligently to shape the future of Detroit.
