CCS announces major expansion project
The College for Creative Studies is embarking on a large-scale development that will transform the institution. Thanks to the generous donation of the Argonaut Building from General Motors, CCS will expand into two campuses just one mile apart. Located in the New Center area, the Argonaut Building was the original home of GM's research and design facilities. When the Argonaut Project is completed, the building will house all of CCS's undergraduate and graduate design programs, student housing and community outreach programs, as well as a charter middle school and high school. To read about the full scope of this exciting project, the history of the Argonaut, and to see images of the building, click here.
Alumni events coast-to-coast
From the coast of Lake Michigan to the Pacific Ocean... this summer, CCS leadership, faculty and staff traveled to Chicago and San Diego to host receptions for area alumni. For the full story, follow this link.

CCS Custom Diplomas Frames
Custom diploma frames are now available through the Office of Student Life. There are two options: a high glass mahogany frame and a contemporary black frame. Both come with a custom double mat in maroon and gold with the College seal and name embossed in gold. The frames are designed to hold an 11 x 14" diploma.
The cost of each frame is $70 if they are purchased on campus and $85 if they need to be shipped. This price reflects the actual costs. They are also available directly from the company's website, www.framingsuccess.com, for $130.
If you would like to order a frame you can stop by the Office of Student Life during business hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or contact us at 313-664-7879 or studentlife@collegeforcreativestudies.edu.
If you are interested in a customized diploma frame and you graduated prior to 2001, when the College changed its name, please contact the Student Life office. If we have enough requests, we can ask Framing Success to make another die using the name Center for Creative Studies.
