Academic Advising and Registration Office

Staff Advisors provide assistance in the following areas: advising students on degree requirements, transfer credit and course equivalencies, department transfers, absence form processing, course selection and schedule adjustments, etc. Absence forms are also processed in the Academic Advising Center.
Bookstore

The CCS Bookstore is a student’s one stop shop for school supplies. We now have two convenient locations. The brand new CCS Bookstore-Taubman Center is located on the first level of the A. Alfred Taubman Design Center and offers 3,000 sq. ft. of school supplies, art materials, computer supplies, snacks, and of course CCS clothing and souvenirs. We also carry all required textbooks for CCS courses, and we offer Adobe CS5 software at up to 85% off the retail price. The CCS Bookstore-Ford Campus, located on the lower level of the W.B. Ford II building in room 001, will focus on general supplies and art supplies for studio classes offered on the Ford campus.
Career Services

The Career Services Office prepares students for life after graduation by offering guidance on resume, CV and cover letter preparation, interview skills, and job search techniques. They inform students about various career paths open to artists and designers and schedule on-campus recruitment events that bring companies to our students. In addition, the online Job Book allows students to search job postings and internships, as well as upload their resume and sample work for employers to review.
Imaging Center

The Imaging Center is available to CCS students, faculty, and staff. The Center produces high-end, full-color and mono-color printouts, along with eight-color, large-format posters. Services are up to 50 percent less than other vendors and turn around time is often the same day. Students, faculty, and staff can also check out digital cameras, recorders, and drawing tablets at the Imaging Center.

The CCS Library has over 40,000 books and subscribes to more than 250 periodicals, 90 percent of which concentrate on art and design. In addition, the Library's Visual Resources Department has two image collections: a digital database with over 120,000 images and a collection of approximately 90,000 slides whose focus is art history with sections on painting, sculpture, architecture, drawing, prints and decorative arts.
Student Success Center

The Student Success Center, staffed by a learning specialist, master tutor, and numerous peer tutors, provides one-on-one tutorials, study groups, workshops, and private testing facilities to students free of charge.
