CCS welcomes alumnus Jeremy Noonan (Crafts '00), who is joining the CCS faculty as Associate Professor in the Crafts Department effective fall 2013. Noonan comes to CCS from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he taught many classes in textile design, including pattern design, screen printing, advanced CAD surface design, and portfolio preparation. He has expertise in all aspects of fiber design and production in both industrial and studio environments, and he has overseen sponsored projects with Mayer Fabrics and the Limited. Noonan also worked as a designer for major retail, contract interior, and automotive supply firms, including Target, Milliken, and Absecom Mills. His work has been featured in Interior Design, Surface Design, and Glass magazine; he has exhibited his studio work in Michigan and San Diego. Jeremy has a BFA in Crafts from CCS and an MFA in Fiber from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Noonan will teach full-time in the Fiber Design area and play a key role in recruiting, advising, and mentoring students, developing curriculum and other programs, and cultivating relationships both within the College and among external audiences, including potential sponsors.
