If you are a Detroit resident without health insurance, there are a number of low-cost clinics where you can recieve medical attention.

Appointment required. Walk-ins or emergencies not accepted. Payment is determined on a sliding scale based on income. To receive care, you must bring the following: photo ID, social security card, and pay stub verifying income (if employed). First visit is $5.

Medicaid
Medicaid is an assistance program for those unable to afford medical care. To be eligible, one must meet certain income and assets criteria.
