Whether you are looking to develop a new career, make a career change or enhance your existing art or design skills, CCS' certificate and diploma programs will enhance your knowledge and understanding of your area of interest.

CCS offers two types of programs to help you build or refine marketable job skills. As a student in one of our Certificate or Diploma programs, you will be required to complete a series of courses that are tied to a set curriculum. Certificate course are non-credit bearing, and Diploma courses are worth 3-credits each. You can enroll in either program without becoming a full-time student. You can complete a Certificate in as little as two semesters or a Diploma in as little as five semesters.

Certificates are available in Digital Arts: Print, Digital Arts: Web, Digital Photography and Digital Film and Video.

Diplomas are available in Professional Automotive Modeling and Residential Design.

CCS' Certificate and Diploma programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

CCS Campus Expansion

As part of CCS’s campus expansion, the CCS Continuing Education department will offer CE courses on both the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education and the Walter and Josephine Ford Campus. The administrative offices for CE programming and certificate and diploma student advising is now located on the sixth floor (T602) of the Taubman Center.

Students who are planning to attending using MI Works! funds, it is important to apply to MI Works! and the CCS program of your choice early, as MI Works! application processing takes several weeks or more.
