Young Artists

Each of our young artist classes are designed to feed the curiosity of creative minds. We offer a variety of studio and digital-based courses for several age groups to provide a supportive learning environment for all. Courses offered for one age group this semester will rotate and be offered to a different age group in a different semester. Classes are available for 6-15 year olds on the CCS campus and at our partnering locations: Macomb Community College, the Grosse Pointe War Memorial and the Automotive Hall of Fame.

Our One Week At a Time summer program offers kids 6-15 a chance to study art all day, one week at a time. Each week focuses on a theme with an AM course, midday collaborative project and a PM course. Those who register in 6 or 3 week clusters receive a discount.

Students have an opportunity to study the following this summer: Sculpture, Digital Design, Animation, Automotive Design, Painting, Drawing, Cartooning and Fashion. Youth classes are taught by instructors who have earned their Art Education certification or who have substantial experience teaching art to young people.
