An Overview of Housing
We currently have 344 students living in CCS student housing. The housing consists of suites in the Art Centre Building and townhouses at a local complex that we sublease. There are currently 263 students living in the Art Centre Building. The 84 spots at our other location are primarily reserved for upper class students.
Security In Housing
The security of the residents is of utmost concern. The Art Centre Building has a 24 hour front desk staffed by security personnel to assist students. The building is locked from 6pm to 8am each day. Residents use their student ID to get into the building and to access the elevator or stair well.
All students can benefit from security shuttles to and from CVS, a local drugstore and pharmacy.
Housing Amenities
Our fitness center also calls the Art Centre Building home. It is open 24 hours a day, has cable television and air conditioning to keep you cool.
Coin-operated laundry facilities are located on the ground floor located near the fitness center.
A spray/work room is on the ground floor for messy projects. Ethernet cable connections are provided in every suite. Cable television service is available but not provided.
There are two passenger and three freight elevators in the Art Centre Building.
Housing Staff
We have a dedicated and energetic staff ready to assist you during your stay in CCS student housing. The staff consists of 10 resident assistants in the Art Centre Building and 4 resident assistants in the Park Shelton. The resident assistants are upper class students who live in the building, assist residents and plan programs and activities. Programs and activities are designed to build great communities within the buildings and to provide those lasting bonds that will last a life time.
In addition to the resident assistants, there are two professional staff members who live in the building.
