VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
THE ART OF WINE
WHEN: Saturday, October 25, 2008
WHERE: GMnext and Wintergarden
WHO: Anyone who loves CCS, Wine, Art, Parties
DRESS: Business Formal (except for daytime set up)
WHAT YOU GET: Food, free parking, party immediately following the auction!
Our 27th Detroit International Wine Auction, The Art of Wine is coming up and we are looking for volunteers to help make this a successful fundraiser for student scholarship and community outreach programs at CCS.
All volunteers must attend a training session the day of the event at 3:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Center. Details will follow. Most duties will require your presence during the evening, ending around 11:00 p.m. or 11:30 p.m.
Auction Set-Up - (16 Volunteers)
Assist with setting up auction lots, tables, and ensuring the venue is ready for the event.
Silent Auction Monitoring, Take Down and Packing - (15 Volunteers)
Needed to pick up bid sheets as silent auction lots close and get to the computer stations, take down the auction lots and re-box them.
Live Auction Bid Spotters - (20 Volunteers)
You're in the thick of things here by helping the auctioneer identify bidders in the ballroom during the live auction! This is an intense and important position.
Greeters - (10 Volunteers)
Needed to greet guests and assist with direction towards registration and the various events. Will also assist in helping guests locate their tables.
Registration Assistants - (4 volunteers)
Assist in entering winning bids into the computer.
Live Auction Monitoring - (6 volunteers)
Assist in recording winning bids. Needed on stage and to run bids to help input info into the computers.
Porters - (10 volunteers)
Assist in moving auction lots and delivering them to patrons' cars at the end of the event. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Floaters - (16 volunteers)
Where ever you may be needed.
