You have so many things at your fingertips. You have so many festivals right outside your building. I like going to the art festivals, jazz festivals. I like all the festivals that happen in the city.
There are so many places you can go, but you just have to know about them. Stuff looks like nothing on the outside and then you can go inside and it's beautiful.

Galleries
I like going to art shows, concerts at different venues in Detroit, and hanging out with friends who live in Detroit. The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit has really good shows.
A lot of cool and fun things happening in Detroit are found through word of mouth. You wouldn't know there were cool parties. You just go to some dive and find out it's a cool, artsy scene. There are a lot of really young passionate individuals, starting art organizations, throwing shows, starting art magazines.
