Library

The CCS Library has over 40,000 books and subscribes to more than 250 periodicals, 90 percent of which concentrate on art and design. In addition, the Library's Visual Resources Department has two image collections: a digital database with over 120,000 images and a collection of approximately 90,000 slides.

To check out books, students, faculty, and staff will need a current CCS ID. Students may check out books for two weeks with one renewal, if there are no holds placed on the book. Other materials have varying check out fines; please check at the circulation desk at 313.664.7642.

During the academic year, the library is open: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Reference assistance is available at all times that the Library is open.
