What to Bring

CCS can take no responsibility for students personal property. If you do not have insurance through your own and/or your parents' homeowners policy, the Office of Student Life can provide information about other programs. We also suggest keeping a list of valuables and their identification numbers in a safe place.

Art Center Building Furnishings Includes:

  • 1 twin (single) bed per student
  • 1 dresser per student
  • 1 night stand in every bedroom
  • 2 couches
  • 1 coffee table
  • 2 end tables
  • 1 dining room table
  • 1 dining chair per student
  • Wall to wall carpeting (in most suites)
  • Full size refrigerator
  • Electric stove

Taubman Furnishings Includes:

  • Twin (single) bed per student
  • Under-bed storage unit (which includes flat file storage!) per student
  • Wardrobe per student
  • Sofa per unit
  • Coffee table per unit
  • Carpeting
  • 1 bedside table per unit

What to Bring to the Taubman

Residents may wish to discuss bringing some of the larger/more expensive items on the list with suitemates so they do not end up with multiple items.

  • Open flame devices (blow torches, etc)
  • Drugs
  • Alcohol
  • Pets other than fish (aquarium can be no larger than 10 gallons)
  • Hookahs (Eastern smoking pipe)
