  2. 14 Jan 2012 Campbell Ewald and CCS create CE City

    In celebration of its centennial anniversary, Campbell Ewald (CE) has partnered with CCS and other Detroit organizations to establish Creatively Inspired Talented Youth (CE City). The group consists of CE City Panel; CE City Workshop at CCS; and the Mac Shack, a computer lab at YouthVille Detroit. The culmination of this effort will be an annual scholarship to attend CCS.

    The Practicum class led by Chad Reichert gave a presentation to their sponsor, Compuware, on Oct. 21, 2011. The presentation was a culmination of seven weeks of research that included 15+ interviews with employees and staff as well as market and trend analysis.

  7. 08 Jun 2011 CCS friend and mentor, Rick Valicenti, has been awarded the prestigious Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award

    Rick Valicenti has been awarded the prestigious Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Communication Design. Valicenti has been a friend and mentor to CCS for several years now, most recently mentoring a group of CCS students on the CCS Viewbook project.

  9. 26 Apr 2011 As a part of Lemonade Day Detroit, CCS and HFA: SCS students opened 14 lemonade stands at 5 Detroit locations

    College for Creative Studies (CCS) and Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies (HFA: SCS) students will open fourteen lemonade stands at five Detroit locations on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Over the past 5 weeks, teams of HFA: SCS 6th grade students and their CCS student facilitators worked together for more 16 hours to set goals, develop and test recipes, brainstorm brands, create logos, obtain financing, select charities, and price their products. Like all pop up ventures, the lemonade stands will only be a short time, but the CCS/HFA: SCS student teams hope to make an impact on the community. All majority of the proceeds will be donated to student-selected charities in Detroit.

  10. 05 Apr 2011 New CCS alumni videos featured on insideccs.com

    Since last fall, Team Detroit has been working in conjunction with CCS’s Marketing and Public Relations office as CCS’s agency of record. Together, they have been working on a series of projects including radio spots, a guerilla poster campaign, brand marketing strategy and 40 videos featuring students, alumni and faculty.
