We only offer merit-based scholarships and competitive scholarships. There are no need based scholarships. Students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when they apply. These range from $3,500 to $10,000 per year for four years.
There are merit based scholarships that you will automatically be considered for but there are no other scholarships at CCS that require additional applications. You can search the internet for scholarships that you do qualify for.
CCS requires proof of funding for $40,550 for the issuance of the I-20. This would cover housing, materials, supplies, food and tuition as well as travel to and from the home country for one year.
Like all large cities, one needs to be careful. However, our campus is extremely safe and we rank the highest among art schools in the USA in regards to safety.
Yes, we only offer shared housing here at CCS
Yes, you can take the TOEFL more than one time and we will accept the higher score.
The requirements would be as follows:

B.Portfolio, including 5 Direct Observation drawings
C.Official High School transcripts.

In regards to financial aid, all applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships which are determined when we complete the review of the file.
International students are unfortunately unable to apply for loans unless they have a guarantor. There is a company, CANHelp which offers student loans to Canadian students studying in the US. There are limitations on this loan however and I believe you begin paying it back much quicker than a traditional student loan. You are eligible for our merit-based scholarships that we determine at the time of application and these can be up to $10,000 US per year for the four years you attend.
We recommend that for visa purposes, international students complete the application process at least 90 days prior to the start of a semester. You will need time to secure a visa and make travel arrangements.
An SAT is not required for international students. We require one of the following-TOEFL, SAT or ACT. For international students, it is most commonly the TOEFL score as we require this for non-native speakers of English.
