The College for Creative Studies, one of the nation's leading art education institutions, provides a dynamic learning environment where students explore issues of art and design, while preparing for careers in the professional world. In addition, we offer non-credit courses in the visual arts through our Continuing Education programs and provide opportunities for youth through Community Arts Partnerships.
The College for Creative Studies (CCS) is launching a major expansion that will transform the institution while providing new educational opportunities for Detroit youth and advancing the renewal of the City’s New Center area.
This past semester, eleven CCS Transportation Design students from around the world put themselves in Henry Ford’s shoes, delivering vehicle concepts capable of providing affordable transportation and the social impact on par with the car that started it all – the Ford Model T.
Product Design student Fadi Betak won the Young Designer of the Year Award for the World Super Yacht Awards and participated in the award ceremony in Venice, Italy on April 18.
CCS’ junior Transportation Design students recently participated in the Bright Design Challenge, sponsored by the National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF).
