Many thanks to the more than 700 people who attended and supported CCS's 33rd Detroit International Wine Auction last Saturday. We are thrilled to announce that under the leadership of Chairs Mary and Tony Barra, the event raised more than $2.4 million. Michael Martini of the Louis M. Martini Winery in Napa Valley was an exuberant Featured Vintner, 30 years after his father Louis P. Martini was the event's 3rd Honorary Chair. Lead sponsor General Motors transformed its Vehicle Engineering Center into a shimmering dinner setting, and Bacco provided a wonderful five-course meal. Thanks as well to Presenting Sponsor Gallagher-Kaiser Corporation.
Your generosity will allow CCS to provide free art programs to more than 4,000 kids in Detroit this year, and support talented but financially needy undergraduate students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college. These students will go on to be the design leaders and inspired artists of tomorrow, and strengthen Detroit as a center for creativity and innovation.
Please check out our event photo gallery and SAVE THE DATE for next year's event: October 17, 2015, led by Chairs Dan and Pernilla Ammann.
