Detroit Wood Type Co. is a studio that produces historic wood types and letterpress goods in Eastern Market. The shop is run by partners Don Kilpatrick (CCS Chair of Illustration) and CCS alums Christian Mulligan (Advertising Design) and Joe Benghauser (Graphic Design). Their mission is to create and design affordable, high quality wood type for the letterpress printer.
