Fall 2008 registration begins for: Seniors 04/09/08 Juniors 04/14/08 Sophomores 04/21/08 Freshmen 04/28/08 All outstanding balances must be paid in full, all holds removed prior to registering. $100 Commitment Fee due at the time of Registration.

Art at the Center

Art at the Center welcomes high school art educators to six days of creativity and learning at the College for Creative Studies, located in the heart of Detroit’s Cultural Center. Come and experience the cultural diversity that Detroit has to offer through hands-on workshops and field trips in an around the City. Completion of both workshops will allow you to earn 3 Michigan State Board Certified Continuing Education Units or 1 graduate-level credit while developing new concepts and methods for use in the art classroom A $300 registration fee includes tuition, on-campus accommodations in CCS’ historic Art Centre Building, most meals, special events and field trips. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis through April 14, 2008. However, as space is limited, please register as soon as possible. MARS Advertising, of Southfield, has established an annual scholarship competition for students at CCS. The annual competition will award two Advertising Design students a $2,500 scholarship and a paid summer internship at the advertising agency.

Top designers in an annual automotive glass design contest sponsored by PPG Industries took inspiration from golf, bamboo charcoal and catamaran boats to create concepts for vehicles that show the versatility of glass in providing unique styling as well as utility, comfort and convenience.
