CCS alum Molly Erickson featured in The Every Girl
At just 25 years old, calligrapher Molly Erickson also known as Molly Jacques has had her illustrative work featured in the holy grail of the wedding industry,Martha Stewart Weddings.Managing to invoke emotion with her hand-lettered creations adorned with whimsically scripted calligraphy, Molly’s romantic works have taken the wedding world by storm.

CCS student Joon young Kim was recently honored with a design award from BASF in the Sit Down. Move. competition. Kim was the only student from the United States to win one of the top three awards.

CCS alum Tom Thewes featured in Hi Fructose Magazine
CCS alum Tom Thewes, an artist currently living and working in Detroit, creates highly detailed paintings and murals with spray paint. His subject matter varies from sinister creatures to depictions of super heroes or other iconic pop figures such as Evel Knievel flying through the air.

8 Mile gets new look from CCS students
The Eight Mile Boulevard Association is celebrating its 20-year anniversary in 2013 by unveiling a new comprehensive identity system that includes a logo. The identity system is comprised of a website, signage, typeface, stationery and the overall look and feel of the nonprofit which represents 13 municipalities located along the most famous stretch of highway this side of Route 66.

CCS teams with Compuware to explore software design
This past fall, the College for Creative Studies (CCS) partnered with Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR), the technology performance company, to build on the tech giant’s long history as a customer- , innovation- and employee-centered company. The partnership paired CCS students and faculty with Compuware teams to explore software design and evaluate how customers really use it.

FED Bravo Demonstrator displayed on campus
The Fuel Efficiency Demonstrator (FED) Bravo Demonstrator was on display in the East Parking lot of CCS’ A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education. The vehicle was created in conjunction with a 2010 Corporate Sponsored Research project.

It is with deep sadness that the College for Creative Studies announces the passing of Imre Molnar, our Provost, who died on Dec. 28, 2012

First 2014 Corvette Stingray to Benefit CCS Auctioned for over $1 million
Chevrolet donated the proceeds of the first retail production model of the 2014 Corvette Stingray – carrying vehicle identification number 0001 – offered at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale collector car auction, to CCS. The model was auctioned off for over $1 million.
