Metro Detroit Carpet Store Hosts CCS Interior Design Student
For the past two years, sophomore level Interior Design students have been getting an insider,s look at carpet design and production by McQueen’s Carpets, a Metro Detroit carpet retailer. During the annual class visit to the store students were given a private overview of various carpets, backings and properties by the store owners.

CCS Liberal Arts Associate Professor Michael Stone-Richards Featured on WDET
Michael Stone Richards, associate professor, Liberal Arts, was recently featured on WDET’s “Detroit Today,” in a panel discussion on art-writing in Detroit. The discussion also included Rebecca Mazzei, arts editor, Metro Times; Nick Sousanis, publisher, TheDetroiter.com; and George Tysh, teacher and contributor, Metro Times.

CCS CAP Director Finalist for ArtServe Michigan Art Educator of the Year
The Director of CCS’s Community Arts Partnership (CAP), Mikel Bresee is being honored as one of three finalists for Art Educator of the Year, awarded annually by ArtServe Michigan. The winner will be announced at the Governor's Awards for Arts & Culture event on Thursday, November 29 at the Detroit Institute of Art.
