Crafts Chair Tom Madden Holds Solo Exhibition at Memphis Metal Museum
CCS Crafts Chair Tom Madden has been named the 2007 Master Metalsmith at the Metal Museum in Memphis. The museum is currently hosting a solo exhibition of Madden’s work, documenting his explorations from traditional jewelry to sculptural hollowware. The exhibit features 62 pieces of his metal artistry and will be on display through November 11.

CCS Again Ranked Among Top Design Schools in the World by BusinessWeek
For the second consecutive year, BusinessWeek has ranked CCS among the world's top design schools. The list highlights design programs that incorporate business strategy and business programs that teach design as a tool for strategic advantage. To compile this list, BusinessWeek turned to an international panel of 22 experts in design, business and academia and asked them to recommend interdisciplinary design and business programs with curricula they respect and graduates they prefer to hire.

CCS Transportation Design Students Participate in PPG Design Challenge
For the past eight years, CCS sophomore transportation design students have gained valuable insight into the design process by participating in the PPG Design Challenge. This year’s competition challenges students to design a vehicle for “Matt” a young educated male who has just completed his college education and is starting his new career.
