2007 Art at the Center, June 24th - June 29th
Art at the Center is a week long, studio-intensive creative workshop for high school art teachers. Attendees can participate in two hands-on workshops that offer new experiences and resources while helping to develop new concepts and methods to use in the classroom. Out of studio trips to museums, art galleries and other cultural ?hot spots? are designed to further inspire and invigorate the art educator. Boldly Embedded: American Quilts from Lancaster County to Gee’s Bend Collected by Kempf Hogan
This exhibition, showcasing the beauty and economy of a dazzling array of American quilts, includes samples of 19th century quilts from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, American Studio quilts, and contemporary African-American quilts, all originally collected by noted Michigan patron Kempf Hogan.
Opening Reception: Friday, September 7 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Art Directors Club 85th Annual Awards Traveling Exhibition
The ADC Annual Awards honors the best work from around the world in print and broadcast advertising, interactive media, graphic design, packaging, photography and illustration. CCS Students Receive Free Admission to Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance
CCS students who can show a valid student ID will be able to attend the world renowned Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance, for free according to organizers of the classic car show. The Concours takes place Sunday, August 5, 2007 on the plush grounds of historic Meadow Brook Hall on the campus of Oakland University.
