New Student Orientation (CCS Experience)
This experience is for all incoming new and transfer students.

The first year experience at CCS is a comprehensive transitional program that begins the week before classes and continues throughout the first semester that explores topics that are important for the students during their first year. The experience includes a 1 credit course that begins Tuesday, August 30th along with time for social interactions with classmates, staff, and faculty.
Your schedule for the week will consist of:
- Monday, August 29th from 9am – 1pm International Student Orientation (mandatory for international students)
- Tuesday, August 30th from 9am – 4pm (mandatory)
- Wednesday, August 31st from Noon – 5pm (mandatory)
- Thursday, September 1st from Noon – 5pm (mandatory)
- Friday, September 2nd – Monday, September 5th activities are being planned and student can opt to participate.
After welcome week, the CCS Experience course will continue to meet for 13 weeks. Each course is divided by major and is led by a CCS Staff person and an upper class teaching assistant from the same major.
