Prepare the Artwork: Forms and Instructions

Here you will find regional instructions for preparing artwork for submission in the 2009 Scholastic Art Awards competition. A short video is also available with instructions for all mediums.

Register Online

  • Teachers and students must complete the online registration process by first creating a user profile and then registering their artwork. (An email address is required and will be the primary means of communication with regional and national winners). Go to www.artandwriting.org to register and receive a copy of the submission guidelines.
  • Recommended: Profiles should be completed by Nov. 15th, and artwork should be registered by Dec. 31st. Submission forms may be edited in the system up until the last week, but students and teachers are strongly encouraged to complete the online registration early.

Submit Work, Forms and Fees

  • Deliver artwork and fees to Macomb Cultural Center on Thursday, January 8, 2009 between the hours of 5:00- 7:00 p.m. www.lorenzoculturalcenter.com
  • Individual artwork must be listed on an Individual Inventory/Fee form and accompanied by the appropriate fees and/or fee waivers. Bring 2 copies – one to submit with fees, the other to accompany artwork as it’s dropped off in categories. Teachers may choose to submit an Inventory/Fee form for each category.
  • Portfolio CD must be listed on a CD Portfolio/Fee form and accompanied by the appropriate fee and/or fee waiver.
