Timeline
Reserving Space
Commitment forms and housing applications are included with acceptance letters. Prospective students who wish to live on campus must submit the completed commitment form and housing application, commitment fee of $100 and housing security deposit of $200. Students who do not intend to live on campus must complete the commitment form and return it with a $100 commitment fee to guarantee space in the next semester's class. The commitment fee is applied directly to the first semester's tuition and is nonrefundable. The College follows a "rolling admission" policy and will continue to accept commitments until August 15. Space is available until the enrollment limit of a department is reached. Departmental wait lists are then established.
CCS accepts applications on a rolling basis. Following is a general timeline:
September through August 1
Submit your application for the following fall semester; through July 1 for International students.
September through December 1
Submit your application for the following winter semester; through November 15th for International students.
- Request that your transcript be sent directly from your high school's Guidance Counseling Office to the Admissions Office at CCS (even if you have already attended college).
- Request that college transcript(s) (if applicable) be sent directly from your college's Registration Office to the Admissions Office at CCS.
- Request that Advanced Placement exam results be sent to the College's Academic Advising and Registration Office or to the Admissions Office.
- If you have not already done so, schedule and take the ACT or SAT (for a first time freshman only) or the TOEFL for International Students (if applicable).
- Submit your portfolio.
Early February
A competition held in February will determine the winners of our highest scholarships. Applicants may be nominated by either their high school or college art instructor or by a CCS Admissions Counselor. Qualified nominees must complete all of the admissions requirements on or before the competition deadline.
Mid February
File the FAFSA online. The financial aid process takes approximately four to six weeks to complete.
March 1
If you are participating on a FIRST Team and applying for a FIRST Scholarship at CCS, you must be accepted by March 1st to be eligible for this award.
June through August
- Complete your New Student Check-in on Blackboard.
- After your commitment fee has been paid, you will receive your login and password from the Academic Advising and Registration Office along with your registration materials.
- While completing your online Check-in, you will confirm your attendance for Orientation and/or English Placement Exam. New students can't register for classes online; however it's important that you become familiar with WebAdvisor on Blackboard. This is how you will register for future semesters and receive valuable information from departments and instructors while you are attending CCS.
- Register for courses. You will receive an Academic Evaluation from the Academic Advising and Registration Office. Choose your desired days and times of those courses from the schedule book, and mail in, phone in or walk in your registration.
- Attend EPE - English Placement Exam (if applicable) and New Student Orientation.
