Scholarship and Exhibition Opportunity: College for Creative Studies has been selected as the beneficiary of the 2009 John F. Korachis Annual Scholarship and Exhibition. All currently enrolled College for Creative Studies sophomores, juniors and seniors from the School of Fine Arts, Crafts and Photography are invited to apply for this scholarship and exhibition program.
The CCS Fine Arts department is hosting a Small Drawing exhibition consisting of 5 x 7" works done by Fine Arts students, faculty and other CCS members.
Renowned sculptor and CCS Fine Arts Associate Professor Marsha Pels recently opened a solo exhibition titled, Dead Mother, Dead Cowboy at Schroeder Romero gallery in Chelsea, New York which runs through October 4, 2008.
Ingo Vetter is an artist and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Umeå/Sweden, who will be teaching at CCS for the next month in an exchange program that has sent CCS professor Chido Johnson to Sweden.

"Half-Deserted" an exhibition featuring eight artists from the College for Creative Studies, Soft Sculpture class will be held Saturday, May 3 through Saturday, May 10 at Detroit’s Russell Industrial Center.
Amanda Sullivan, a CCS Fine Art junior was recently award a scholarship for her work from the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors.
The activities begin on Wednesday, April 16 from 7 – 10 p.m. with a Bronze Pour, led by Beasley, in the CCS Foundry B107.
The work of CCS Fine Arts students will be featured in a sculpture exhibition at the Russell Industrial Center with an opening reception on Friday, March 28 from 7 – 10 p.m.
The College for Creative Studies Fine Arts department is hosting a public lecture by renowned sculptor JoAnne Carson on Wednesday, March 5 at 7:15 p.m., on the CCS campus.
