In a changing culture that's increasingly visual, our Graphic Design program gives students an edge. Because many of our faculty are actively working in the profession, they are able to help students understand that the key to success in visual communication lies in the way a project is thought through, not just how it looks.
Graphic Design is everywhere – on TV, on walls, on websites, on shirts, in mailboxes, in boxed sets, in books, and on bikes. At CCS you'll acquire the skills you need to make a statement anywhere. We emphasize the thought process that goes into visual decisions, and back that process up with artistic skills and proficiency in the most up-to-date technology.
If you're interested in using image, type, color, sound, motion and interactivity to create dynamic cultural expression, Graphic Design is the right department for you. Projects can take the shape of websites, posters, interactive CD-ROM marketing tools, or annual reports. Whatever the form, graphic design reaches more people more often than perhaps any other kind of expression.
