Certificate Programs
CCS certificate programs include:
Students must apply and be accepted into the certificate program before enrolling in any of the certificate level courses. Certificate students are expected to attend classes, complete in-class assignments and take exams. A grade of C or better is required for certificate credit. You can change the status of your non-credit course to certificate level if your application into the program has been accepted, and if you request the change prior to the second class meeting.
To satisfy prerequisite requirements, courses must be taken in sequential order. Not all classes in the certificate programs will be offered each semester, as some courses are run on a rotational basis. Students must complete a certificate program within three years.
Credits from other institutions are not accepted for transfer into CCS' certificate programs. If a student has taken the equivalent of a required course at either CCS or another institution, approval to substitute a more challenging course may be obtained from the Director of Continuing Education.
