Digital Arts: Web

You will develop professional-level software skills for designing cutting edge websites. Through a series of six courses you will learn to combine design concepts and software skills like animation and interactive elements to create unique professional websites. The curriculum includes hands-on experience working with current software and state-of-the-art equipment.

Admission Requirements

  • Basic art or design skills
  • Basic writing skills
  • An academic transcript or a copy of your high school diploma. Applications will not be processed until either of the above is received. Transcripts can be attached as a PDF or jpeg file to your on-line application, faxed to 313-664-1536 or mailed to CCS Continuing Education 201 E. Kirby St. Detroit, MI 48202
  • The course Fundamentals of Design is a required prerequisite
  • Experience working on a Mac and/or PC computer, including basic file structure protocol, working with peripherals, email, internet research and portable storage drives.

Applicants can have the requirement waived through the review of a portfolio of their work or if they can demonstrate that he/she has successfully completed a college-level design course.

Dual Digital Arts: Print and Web Certificate
The Digital Art: Print and Web curricula have courses in common and students can elect to complete both programs without repeating shared courses.
