The College for Creative Studies, one of the nation's leading art education institutions, provides a dynamic learning environment where students explore issues of art and design, while preparing for careers in the professional world. In addition, we offer non-credit courses in the visual arts through our Continuing Education programs and provide opportunities for youth through Community Arts Partnerships.

  3. 26 Jan 2012 2012 Auto Glow theme developed by Interior Design students

    PCGCampbell partnered with CCS’s Interior Design students for this year’s Auto Glow Design Challenge, to benefit local social service agency The Children’s Center.

  4. 23 Jan 2012 CCS student designs wrench put into production by Black & Decker

    During a 2009 internship, current CCS senior Jonathan Salerno designed the Ready Wrench under the direction of Black & Decker’s design group. The company’s designers liked Salerno’s creation so much that they quickly patented the design and put it into production.

  5. 19 Jan 2012 Alum Fadi Pataq helps launch superyacht

    CCS transportation design alum Fadi Pataq was on hand in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emiratesat, for the launching of the superyacht Yas. The launching was the first for Pataq who contributed to the exterior design of the project. Pataq, who was named Young Designer of the Year in 2008 by Superyacht, credits CCS with providing him with the work ethic needed to achieve his goals.

  7. 14 Jan 2012 Campbell Ewald and CCS create CE City

    In celebration of its centennial anniversary, Campbell Ewald (CE) has partnered with CCS and other Detroit organizations to establish Creatively Inspired Talented Youth (CE City). The group consists of CE City Panel; CE City Workshop at CCS; and the Mac Shack, a computer lab at YouthVille Detroit. The culmination of this effort will be an annual scholarship to attend CCS.

  8. 13 Jan 2012 Ad students win Best New Ad competition

    Advertising seniors Kelly McGuckin and Brian Mekjian took first place honors in the annual Best New Ad Competition (www.bestnewad.com) with their humorous television commercial for this year’s client, Cell Phones for Soldiers.

  9. 12 Jan 2012 MFA student lands Furencia internship

    MFA student Brook Banham was selected by Faurecia as its internship winner based on his work provided for the General Motors (GM) Interactive Design Competition. Brook focused his concepts on the GMC brand and for his efforts gets to choose an internship at Faurecia’s design studio in North America, Europe or Asia.

  10. 11 Jan 2012 CCS students dominate GM design competition

    Students from CCS claimed 5 of the 8 top spots in General Motors (GM) Interactive Design Competition as announced at the 2012 North American International Automotive Show. Over 300 students from across the United States and Canada entered the competition, launched in spring 2011.
