Want to visit? Bring some students.
Regularly scheduled campus visits are available for prospective students, parents, and teachers. We also offer group tours — please call in advance to schedule a tour. During the annual Student Exhibition in May, student groups, parents, and teachers are welcome to view the show at their leisure, but are encouraged to schedule a specific date and time in advance.
Teacher & Counselor Information
The CCS Admissions staff values their relationships with art educators and guidance counselors and respects the foundation in art they provide for incoming art and design students. Every fall, Admissions counselors from CCS visit high school art classrooms around the country, to provide students and teachers with information about the College. They offer a high-quality digital presentation that showcases examples of CCS student artwork from our 11 majors and Foundation program for first-year students. Also featured are examples of work by high school students from across the U.S. and abroad that the Admissions team considers acceptable for inclusion in the portfolio students must submit with their application. Our counselors are also prepared to discuss our art education program and careers in art and design in addition to providing feedback on student work. If you would like to set up a classroom visit please contact our Admissions Office at 313.664.7425 or 800.952.ARTS. Request for visits will be reviewed each summer for the upcoming fall. Not all requests can be accommodated due to the number of requests received and availability of admission staff. Educators are welcome to schedule group tours of campus or attend regularly scheduled information sessions with their students.
