As one of the lead artists behind the merchandising efforts of the popular "The Simpsons" television series, Bill Morrison is a busy man.
While working closely with Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Morrison is the creative director at Bongo Comics, the company best known for producing Simpsons and Futurama comic books. In addition to his comic book duties, Morrison has spent the last 15 years creating art for the series' merchandise - an empire that has sold more than $30 million in Japan alone - and serving as art director for the television series "Futurama."
Morrison's focus on comics began during his sophomore year at CCS. Working with various instructors in several academic departments, Morrison perfected his craft that eventually led to his career at Bongo.
"CCS definitely helped me get where I wanted to go."
"And the basic classes prepared me to be an artist in general. I think the skills I developed there would have come into play regardless of whether I got into comics or animation, or stayed in the illustration field."
